The Louisiana State University Shreveport Teacher Education Program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). CAEP's evidence-based accreditation assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning.
The Pilot Education Center is a state-of-the-art learning environment for future educators at all levels. Textbook and techonology resources abound in a simulated classroom environment. The Center also includes the Praxis Lab and Curriculum Resource Center.
The Teacher Education Program: Admission & Retention - or TEPAR for short - is a secondary admissions process that education majors must apply for in their sophomore year. If accepted, applicants can continue onward in the program to receive their degree in education. Read more about TEPAR here.
