Biography
Angie Pellerin has served the LSUS community since January 2014. She first joined LSUS as a graduate student in the MSC program, working as a front desk assistant in the Student Development and Counseling office. She later completed her counseling internship there, was hired as a full-time counselor upon graduation, and eventually became Director of Counseling Services. While in Counseling Services, she performed personal counseling, career counseling, academic advising, learning support, crisis intervention, and campus wellness outreach. She also supported students in the classroom, teaching English Composition, First-Year Seminar, and Peer Education Training courses. Her time both in Counseling Services and in the classroom continues to inform her current work to improve student success outcomes on a broader scale.
In her current role as Associate Vice Chancellor, Ms. Pellerin is committed to enhancing the holistic development and success of every student while driving transformation efforts at LSUS. She oversees first-year experience, first-generation initiatives, and retention efforts, while guiding career services, academic success, and academic advising offices. Additionally, she contributes to SACSCOC reaffirmation processes and the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). With a background in counseling, holistic wellness, and literary studies, she brings experience in student development and neuroscience to her data-driven, student-centered leadership. Leveraging her position with intentionality, she strives to remove systemic barriers and create a supportive ecosystem that fosters belonging and resilience and empowers students.
Ms. Pellerin maintains her license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Supervisor through the Louisiana LPC Board.
