Academic Success

Academic Success provides coordinated support programs including:

Supplemental Instruction, peer-guided study groups for historically challenging first- and second-year courses
Peer Tutoring for all undergraduate and high-demand graduate courses
Academic Coaching for general study strategies and academic skills
Writing Consultation across disciplines with graduate and undergraduate writing consultants
Learning Assistance, in-class academic support for first-year English composition courses
Academic Recovery Support for students on or at risk of academic probation through the SOAR program
Pre-Health Success Program for students planning for a career in the healthcare field

These services are provided at no cost to enrolled students. All programs and staff uphold the standards set by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) and NASPA's Certified Peer Educator program, ensuring quality and consistency across services.

Have trouble with a class? Meet with a peer tutor or a professional tutor on Knack for a specific subject, either in person or online.

Have a one-on-one meeting with a graduate assistant to talk about academic skills, such as note-taking strategies, time management skills, how to make a study plan for a hard exam, etc.

Meet with a writing consultant to improve your writing projects, such as a course paper, personal statement, professional writing, etc., or to practice general writing skills to become a better writer.
