More than 1,100 students will have degrees conferred.

Shreveport, LA –Louisiana State University Shreveport will hold its Summer 2022 Commencement Ceremony Friday, September 16th at 2pm. The ceremony will take place at the Brookshire’s Grocery Arena in Bossier City and will be livestreamed to Facebook for those who cannot attend in person.

Degrees will be conferred to 1,121 students, both undergraduate and graduate. Approximately 400 students have indicated their attendance and participation in the physical ceremony.

“Commencement is such a joyous occasion,” said Larry Clark, Chancellor of LSU Shreveport. “Those 1,121 students worked hard to get where they are, and we are proud to celebrate them.”

Doors open at 12 noon. The commencement speaker will be Wendell Riley, Executive Director of the Robinson Film Center. Valencia Sarpy-Jones will be the LSU Board of Supervisors representative conferring degrees.
