SHREVEPORT, LA. - LSUS Men’s Soccer’s Abdoul Karim Pare has been named the Red River Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.

“I am so happy for Karim earning this recognition,” said LSUS Head Coach Phillip Bohn. “He is a special talent and just beginning to show what he can do. He continues to learn and improve daily and will continue to grow as a player. I am happy he’s on our team!”

Karim Pare had his best week to date for the Pilots. To start, he scored two goals against Texas Wesleyan to help the Pilots erase a 2-0 deficit with 20 minutes remaining and go on to win in overtime. He scored his first goal of the match in the 81st minute to cut the deficit to one. He then scored with just 22 seconds left to tie the match. The Pilots would score the game winner just three minutes into overtime to defeat Texas Wesleyan. He finished the match with five total shots, four of which were on goal. He also played a huge role in creating opportunities in the Pilots' next match against No. 8 Mobile. The Pilots would take the number eight team in the nation to overtime but ultimately fell, 2-1.

The Pilots will be back in action on Thursday, September 23 as they open up Red River Athletic Conference play against Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio, Texas. The match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. CT.
