The Greater Shreveport Chamber will hold their 113th Annual Banquet, presented by Willis-Knighton Health Systems, at 6:00PM at Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino on Thursday, January 19th, 2023.

Each year, the Chamber honors a business leader of the year. This award recognizes individuals who have a substantiated history as an established business executive, a proven leader in areas of Economic Development, Community Development, Workforce Development and Education and contributes philanthropically, personal time and resources. This year the Chamber is pleased to recognize outgoing LSU Shreveport Chancellor Larry Clark as its 2022 Business Leader of the Year.

Chancellor Clark’s history of distinguished service to the community and his efforts in reshaping and revitalizing LSU Shreveport will be highlighted during the Banquet proceedings.

In addition to this recognition, the Chamber will install new officers and board members. The Chamber will also present an initial round of ideas and renderings for the renovation and rehabilitation of the Greater Shreveport Chamber building as part of the centennial celebration of the building’s dedication to the public.

“We are delighted to be able to recognize Chancellor Clark for his years of dedicated service to our community. His leadership and vision for LSUS have been transformational, “said Dr. Timothy Magner, President of the Greater Shreveport Chamber. “We are also excited to kick off our centennial celebration of the Chamber building. We hope the community will come together to help us revitalize this important community asset.”

Reservations are now being accepted at www.ShreveportChamber.org until Friday, January 6, 2023.

Since its founding in 1910, the mission of the Greater Shreveport Chamber has been to promote economic prosperity, serve as a business advocate, and celebrate the achievements of the Shreveport- Bossier region.
