Faculty/Staff Book Study Group

About the Book Study Group: Each fall (and sometimes in the spring), the CELT hosts a reading group open to all university faculty and staff. The CELT purchases books for attendees (either physical copies or ebooks through the Noel Library), which are available for pick-up or download in advance of our first meeting. We meet three times over the course of the semester to discuss the selected book.

In the Fall 2025 semester, we invited LSUS campus members to explore the book Facilitating Seven Ways of Learning: A Resource for More Purposeful, Effective, and Enjoyable College Teaching. Sessions will be held on September 22, October 20, and November 24 from 11am-12pm in the CELT.

In the Spring 2026 semester, we invite LSUS campus members to explore the book On Being a Mentor: A Guide for Higher Education Faculty.  Sessions will be held on January 26, February 23, and April 13 from 11am-12pm in CELT.
