SHREVEPORT, LA. - LSUS Women’s Soccer’s Chelsea Brown has been named an All-Louisiana Honorable Mention, announced by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association on Thursday.
“I’m excited for Chelsea to be recognized for her hard work this season,” said LSUS Head Coach Mark Matlock. “She has been an integral part of our offense over the last two years, and she is always looking to have an impact on the game. She spends extra time away from training pushing herself to improve and that work ethic shows up on game days.”
Brown had another successful campaign for the Pilots this season at the forward position. She led the team, for the second season in a row, in goals scored with six. She also led the team in points with 34 while also notching an assist and 34 shots. She scored two goals in the Pilots’ game against ETBU back on August 25th and was a solid contributor for the Pilots during the 2021 season.
