Biography

Dr. Minsun Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at LSU Shreveport. Minsun received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a recipient of the William C. Woolf Endowed Rising Star Professorship in Business and the LSUS College of Business Faculty Innovation Award. She possesses five teaching certificates and has actively contributed to students achieving recognition in both international and campus-wide competitions through her role as a faculty mentor.

She has published eight articles in internationally reputable business and hospitality journals, one textbook chapter, and one industry press. Minsun serves as an ad hoc reviewer for nine business and hospitality journals and academic conferences.

She has taught multiple business and hospitality courses for MBA and undergraduate students at LSUS, including Organizational Strategy and Policies, Hospitality Analytics, Principles of Management, and Hospitality and Casino Marketing. Before joining LSUS, she taught Revenue Management and Hotel Analytics courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels at Temple University. Minsun brings with her eight years of professional experience in the industry in the U.S. and South Korea, ranging from hospitality asset management consulting, hotel revenue management, food & beverage, resort operation, guest service training, and event organizing.
