Welcome to LSUS!! Learning about and participating in LSUS' Student Orientation And Registration (SOAR) will give new students a head start on the university experience. SOAR is a comprehensive program designed specifically for the first-time freshman, to provide information to ease the transition into college life.

SOAR is conducted in small groups, by students and for students. LSUS student leaders will assist new freshmen in exploring the variety of academic and co-curricular opportunities on campus. Incoming freshmen participating in SOAR will meet current LSUS students; learn about academic majors, campus organizations, and social/leadership opportunities; receive individualized assistance in class scheduling; and complete registration for fall classes.

To attend SOAR, you must first be fully admitted to LSUS. Contact Admissions and Records to apply to LSUS or check your admission status. Once you have completed the LSUS application process and been fully admitted to LSUS, the Admissions and Records Office will contact you with the instructions for reserving your spot for SOAR.
