Graduate Admissions Requirements

Graduates of regionally accredited colleges or universities can apply for admission to graduate school at LSUS. You must demonstrate that you can successfully undertake graduate work in your chosen area of study, and all previously undertaken graduate work must meet LSUS's academic standards. You can also view the Graduate Studies section of the catalog here.

For unconditional admission, applicants must be in satisfactory standing at the last institution attended and meet all admissions requirements for their desired degree program. If you possess a graduate degree previously earned from an accredited university, you are also eligible for unconditional admission without regard to your undergraduate GPA.

If you do not possess a previously-earned graduate degree, you must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on your completed undergrad degree (on a 4.0 scale) or a minimum 2.75 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) on your last 60 hours attempted. A minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) is required on any graduate work attempted with no grades of D or F.

Important Application Steps

Pay the $20 application fee ($30 for international students).

Submit official transcripts from each college or university attended. Request an official transcript from all colleges or universities previously attended whether or not credit was earned. Transcripts can be mailed directly to the LSUS Admissions and Records Office or sent electronically to admissions@lsus.edu via secure means, i.e., eSCRIP-SAFE, Parchment, etc. If you attended institutions outside of the United States, submit a completed course-by-course evaluation of all credits and/or degrees earned. Please refer to the International Graduate Checklist for instructions on ordering an official course-by-course evaluation, as well as the list of approved evaluation companies.

Submit Immunization Records form. You may print the online form and send it to the university via mail, fax, or on campus in the Graduate Studies office. Students enrolled in a 100% online program are not required to submit immunization records.
