An incident occurred around 3:15pm, Tuesday afternoon, on the LSUS Campus that is cause for concern. I feel the campus will be better protected if everyone is informed of the facts and circumstances of the incident.
On Tuesday afternoon an individual was wandering in the parking lots when he was approached by a faculty member. The individual informed the faculty member that he was interested in transferring to LSUS. The faculty member summoned a female staff member to escort the individual to the Admissions Office. While walking to the Admissions Office, the individual made and effort to convince the female staff member to go to his vehicle that was occupied by at least one other subject.
The female staff member wisely refused to go to the individual’s vehicle and gave him directions to the Admissions Office. A check with the Admissions Office revealed that no individual fitting the suspect description ever arrived at the Admissions Office.
It might be noted that this individual appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
This suspect is described as: A black male Very thin Late 20’s or early 30’s No facial hair Dressed in jeans, a grey winter jacket with yellow on the front He was walking around with a magazine in his hands
The vehicle is described as: A maroon or burgundy SCION, made by TOYOTA , one of those box style vehicles.
If this vehicle is seen of campus, please contact University Police as soon as possible.
