Courses - Clinical Research Administration:

CRA 301: Clinical Research Administration I 3 cr.
A foundation course to examine the phases of a clinical trial, models of clinical research, clinical trial objectives, dosage and pharmacy/pharmacology information, and consent forms. Three hours of lecture.

CRA 302: Clinical Research Administration II 3 cr.
Prerequisite: CRA 301. Students will learn the aspects of clinical research such as patient compliance, data collection forms, monitoring of clinical trials, adverse reactions to trial termination and evaluation of published data. Three hours of lecture.

CRA 325: Good Clinical Practices 2 cr.
Prerequisite: CRA 302. A course to introduce students to FDA rules and regulations, protection of human subjects, informed consent, IRB/IEC general provisions, and ICH guidelines. Two hours of lecture.

CRA 499 Clinical Research Internship 3 cr.
Prerequisite: CRA 325. A fifteen-week, 150-hour internship designed to train the clinical research student who has completed all courses required for the certificate in Clinical Research Administration. Students will gain first-hand experience in clinical research from the initiation phases of clinical trial, the recruitment of patients, collection of data, reporting of adverse events, to monitoring of clinical trials.
