Pre-Professional Speech Pathology

Course Sequencing--Prerequisites

Earning the Pre-Professional Speech Pathology degree requires students to master three tiers of courses taken sequentially. Block I courses should be taken and completed before Block II. Block II courses should be taken and completed before Block III.

The courses in these blocks are:

• Block I:   Required math, science, English, public speaking, computer science and research (PSYC 152, 216, and 317) and 17 hours of speech-language pathology courses COMM 145, 216, 235, 236, 264, and 349.
  
  
• Block II: Twelve hours of speech-language pathology courses COMM 315, 345, 346, 347 and 455.
  
  
• Block III:Six hours of speech-language pathology courses COMM 491 and COMM 465 or 494.
