LSUS Northwest Louisiana Archives Database

The LSUS Northwest Louisiana Archives contains over 1,100 individual collections, including numerous important historical records and manuscripts relating to the Shreveport area, northwest Louisiana, and the lower Red River region commonly known as the Ark-La-Tex. The LSUS Northwest Louisiana Archives collects, preserves, and makes available to researchers the rich and colorful heritage of this region. Approximately 23,000 linear feet of records and manuscripts, 800 maps, 200 oral histories, and over 1.5 million photographs and negatives document the history and culture of the region from its earliest settlement to the present.

Please use the link above to search our collections, oral histories, miscellaneous manuscripts, and microfilm. Eloquent is our primary finding aid with much more descriptive details. The search boxes below lead to a database that has not been updated recently.
