Why Career Services? Not sure where to start? Make an appointment today

LSU Shreveport Career Services supports students and graduates in their career and professional development, helping them realize their career goals! We assist students and alumni as they navigate career decisions, we help them confidently search for and secure experiential opportunities, and we nuture in them the ability to translate their classroom knowledge into real-world success. Before graduating, Career Services hopes to help students do three things:

  • Feel confident about their major and career path;
  • Learn how to uncover internship and job leads in the field they hope to enter; and
  • Understand how to present themselves to employers and/or graduate school admissions representatives effectively, both through their written materials and when speaking to them.

For information about specific appointment types, workshops, and events that students and alumni can participate in, please review the OVERVIEW OF SERVICES resource. For fast facts about what happens in the department, check out this infographic!
