Pederson To Deliver Inaugural Address In India and Joins International Journal Editorial Board

Shreveport, LA- The M.S. University of Baroda in India has invited LSUS Professor William Pederson to deliver the inaugural address for Gandhi: Today and Beyond, a yearlong lecture series observing the sesquicentennial birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.


Pederson’s lecture, entitled Outsmarting Colonialists: Lincoln and Gandhi, will be given on December 17th, 2018.


He has also been invited to join the editorial board for the new T.K.M. Arts and Science College International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research.  The T.K.M. College of Arts and Science is located in Kollam, India. Pederson also serves as a co-editor of the quarterly Journal of Contemporary Thought published by India’s Centre for Contemporary Theory in Vadodara.

While in India this month, Pederson will present papers at two international conferences.  The first is for the Comparative Education Society of India, and the second is for the Forum on Contemporary Theory to be held in Puri, India. Three LSUS students, Kevin Procell, Melissa Rolfe and Sunjay Letchuma, will also present papers.
