Paralegal Students to be Honored at Graduation Ceremony May 30 at LSUS

SHREVEPORT, LA - A graduation ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at the LSUS University Center to celebrate the achievements of the 2018 LSUS Paralegal Institute graduating class. 

Spring 2018 graduates are:

  • Ethan I Hay, Bossier City, La.
  • Ashley N. Hylan, Shreveport, La.
  • Breanke Mitchell, Shreveport, La.
  • Jackie Sutis, Bossier City, La.
  • Lonzetta Willis, Shreveport, La.
  • Earnest L. Wilson, Shreveport, La.
  • Kathrine M. Winstead, Haughton, La.

      The LSUS Paralegal Institute has a long-standing history in the Shreveport community, have started its first class in 1981. The program is taught by local attorneys. The Institute's curriculum is designed to provide students with an understanding of legal concepts which will enable them to work effectively in various legal settings. 
     The successful completion of the eight-course program leads to students earning a Paralegal Certificate. The LSUS Division of Continuing Education is contacted regularly by companies looking to hire paralegal graduates. 
     The program can be completed in one year for a full-time student or take up to two and a half years for a part-time student. All classes are held in the evening, and assistance with job placement is provided.
     While some Paralegal students have degrees, students may join the program without completing an undergraduate degree.
