    LSU Shreveport 6th Annual Scholars Forum Top Awards Include Medical and Marine Research

    LSU Shreveport recently hosted its 6th Annual Regional Student Scholars Forum, with six of its eight top awards going to research submissions in the fields of medicine, fish hatcheries, and gulf stream migration. Of the top awards, winners are awarded a $100 gift card and runners up are awarded $50 gift cards from the LSUS Foundation.

    Three LSUS Students Receive Scholarships at Annual Rotary Club Scholarship Luncheon

    Three LSUS students were awarded scholarships at the Annual Rotary Club Scholarship Luncheon in late March, featuring nominees from six area schools. Caroline Dorking, Meaghan Cloud, and Trinity Williams were selected based on criteria of excellent scholarship as it relates to their studies, service to others as defined in essay submissions, and genuine need for financial aid.

    LSUS Graphic Design Ranked Best in Louisiana

    LSU Shreveport has been awarded the #1 Best in Louisiana Offering Graphic Design Programs designation in the PLEXUSS Global Rankings. The PLEXUSS Global Rankings, which evaluates programs based on student demand and preferences, were developed with extensive input from education partners, data scientists, employers, parents, and high school counselors for prospective students to evaluate postsecondary options.

    LSU Shreveport's Dr. Kenna Franklin Honored with 2021 Willie Burton Historian Award

    LSU Shreveport Assistant Provost of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement Dr. Kenna Franklin was awarded the 2021 Willie Burton Historian Award at the 9th Annual State of Black Shreveport Symposium & Economic Summit. The honor is named after the late Willie Burton, a local historian, Southern University Shreveport Louisiana (SUSLA) professor, Caddo School Board member, and leader for the African American community.
