LSUS Welcomes New Director of Admissions

LSU Shreveport is proud to welcome David D. Stanford as their new Director of Admissions. David brings a unique skill-set from his experiences in recruitment and human resource management to lead the department in its programs and services designed to educate prospective students, parents, counselors and the community about the benefits of an LSUS education. Stanford joined the LSUS team Jan. 4, 2016 and intends to continue to attract a diverse, high-achieving student body.  “It is an absolute honor to become a member of the LSUS family. I am looking forward to achieving and enjoying great success in growing our student enrollment and providing exceptional professional services to our students,” said Stanford.

Stanford received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana Tech University.  He and his wife, Emily have two beautiful daughters, Emerald and Aerial.  Prior to LSUS, he served in the United States Army and Army Reserve for a total of 30 years, granting him the unique combination of civilian and military professional experience.  While in the military, he guided and supported 307 recruiters, 21 recruiting centers and 7 recruiting companies throughout the state of Texas, coordinated recruitment and retention activities within assigned units that supported workforce objectives for over 20,000 personnel.  One of his highest achievements was being recognized as the Army Reserve Recruiter of the year from 2006-2009.
