LSUS Ranked 5th Among the Top 50 Business Schools

LSU Shreveport has been recognized as the 5th ranked university among the top 50 Business Schools by Study.com. Study.com states the following: Louisiana State University Shreveport “continues to make a name for itself with its business offerings, whether they're online or on campus.” Study.com evaluated "hundreds of schools for this list." Louisiana State University-Shreveport was selected based on a combination of factors, including academic resources, career resources, education quality, and program accessibility.

This honor was accompanied with additional recognition of a 7th place national ranking for the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Management and Administration. This recognition joins previous acknowledgements for outstanding undergraduate marketing, management, and general business programs.

Study.com evaluates only accredited non-profit public and private universities in their analysis. The Study.com staff uses the United States Department of Education data points in their evaluation. These rankings were created by Study.com using the university's graduation rates, costs of attendance, and retention of students. The primary emphasis of inclusion in the top 50 is accessibility, affordability, and quality of education.

Nancy Albers, Dean of the College of Business, stated “We are very honored to receive this recognition. We are pleased to be recognized for our ability to keep quality business education with a tuition strategy that allows our degree programs to ‘stay within reach.’ The College of Business has developed innovative transfer-friendly undergraduate programs designed to support timely completion. LSUS has embraced making high quality, industry-relevant education accessible, affordable, and achievable for business students.”

“Our undergraduate programs are relevant for preparing students for their careers,” said Tami Knotts, Associate Dean of the College of Business and MBA Director. “These degrees offer an excellent value for students seeking accredited, flexible, and engaging programs.”

All business degree programs, both on campus and online, at LSU Shreveport are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only five percent of all business schools worldwide meet the AACSB International's demanding standards.
