LSUS Offers Wide Range of Camps and Programs for Youth 5-18 This Summer

SHREVEPORT, LA-The LSU Shreveport Division of Continuing Education will offer a wide range of summer programs and camps for youths age 5-18 as well as programs for adults on campus this summer. Additionally, a number of sports camps and other special-interest programs are offered.

Program topics include soccer, basketball, robotics, 3D printing, keyboarding, sewing and several different types of art. New this summer: children's watercolor; design for teens, an introduction to Adobe; and kids' expressive natural soap making.

The LSU Shreveport Pilots have released their basketball camp dates for ages 6-13 for the summer. Head Coach Kyle Blankenship has announced that there will be two different camps at The Dock in the Health and Physical Education Building. The "Offensive Skills Camp" will focus on the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling and passing the basketball, while the "Fun Camp" will give campers the opportunity to play with members of the men's and women's basketball team through a variety of games and contests.
