LSUS Names New MBA Director

Dr. Tami Knotts has been named the new director of the Master of Business Administration program at Louisiana State University Shreveport. In addition to serving as the Director of the MBA, Dr. Knotts is a Professor of Marketing and holds the Alta and John Franks MBA Endowed Professorship. Dr. Knotts currently teaches the Small Business and Family Enterprise course in this graduate program.

She will continue to offer undergraduate classes in Management and Marketing, including Entrepreneurship and New Venture Development, Negotiations, Retail Management, Sales and Principles of Marketing.

Dr. Knotts received her doctorate in Management and Marketing from Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Knotts is also an alumnus of LSUS having completed her undergraduate degree in Accounting and her MBA. Dr. Knotts has published articles in numerous journals including the Quality Management Journal, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, the Marketing Management Journal, the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship, and the Academy of Entrepreneurship Journal. Her research interests include small business practices, product innovation, generational differences, and educational technology.

In her role as MBA Director, Dr. Knotts is responsible for providing leadership and administration of the largest degree program on campus.
