LSUS Budget Letter from the Chancellor

February 17, 2016

In our Budget Forum on Friday, February 12th, many expressed how concerned and worried our students, faculty and staff are about our state's perilous financial situation. Please be assured that our 629 students benefitting from TOPS this Spring semester will not be impacted by these budget concerns.

Our focus as a campus remains on each of our students and their educational needs.  Despite the many budgetary challenges that face our state, LSU Shreveport will continue to invest in the success of our students.  With all the news about the perilous state of funding for higher education in Louisiana, our focus remains squarely on students and helping them to continue to make progress toward their degree.  We are confident that Governor Edwards and legislative leaders will forge a successful resolution for public higher education that will benefit the students, faculty, and staff of LSU Shreveport.
