Annual Game Jam Set for April 13-15 at LSUS

The Computer Science Club at LSU in Shreveport is hosting the annual Game Jam this year from Friday-Sunday, April 13-15 in the Technology Center and Game Development labs. The event, open to the public, draws game enthusiasts from throughout the area.

The main announcements and judging will be held in TC 220, but competitors are free to come and go as they please.

Computer labs in the Tech Center and Digital Arts labs in Bronson Hall will be open for competitors to work on their games. Competitors may also choose to work at home.

The Game Jam consists of multiple parts. A tutorial on GameMaker Studio will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday. The opening announcements and official start of the Game Jam are at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. During these announcements, competitors will learn the secret theme for this year.

Competitors work on their games until 4 p.m. on Sunday when judging begins. At 5 p.m. on Sunday, the winners will be declared and closing anouncements will be made.
