‘Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History’: The Feats and Exploits of Women as featured in the Noel Collection

April 05, 2016

Open now through May 31st
3rd floor Noel Memorial Library, LSUS

Women’s History Month is over, but our exhibit has just begun! The materials on display include vintage postcards, suffragist ephemera, and books on women and their historical impact, from Queen Zenobia to Agatha Christie. Some featured books from the 17th and 18th centuries concern feminine morality and education, whereas other volumes explore 19th and 20th century women’s movements.

Come visit us in the Noel Collection to learn more! We’re open Sundays from 2-6 p.m., Mondays from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., and Tuesdays-Fridays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information or to arrange a tour contact Martha Lawler at 318-798-4163 or Martha.Lawler@lsus.edu, or visit us online at jsnoelcollection.org.
