A college degree is a major step toward achieving career goals. Professional certifications and associations can provide additional credentials in demonstrating qualifications and skills.

SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
The SHRM-CP is granted by the Society for Human Resource Management. A Bachelor's degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from LSUS is a good starting point to qualify for a SHRM-CP designation. For additional requirements beyond graduation, visit:  

Project Management Professional (PMP)
The PMP is considered to be the most widely recognized certification for project managers. The PMP is awarded by the Project Management Institute. A Bachelor's degree in business streamlines your path to obtaining a certification as a PMP.  For additional requirements beyond graduation, visit: 

Six Sigma
The Council for Six Sigma Certification sets the official industry standards for Six Sigma certification. To obtain a Green Belt in Six Sigma, a student must complete 35 hours of training. A Black Belt in Six Sigma requires a minimum of 95 hours of training. More information can be found at:  

Web Analyst Certification (CWA)
Certification as a Web Analyst is offered through the Digital Analytic Association. Obtaining this recognition demonstrates knowledge and competency within the industry. AMA Collegiate Marketing Research Certification
Marketing students at LSUS can seek to gain a Collegiate Marketing Research Certification. This program is offered by the American Marketing Association for current students. The program requires additional online training and AMA membership. For more information, visit:
