Both the College of Education and the College of
Business are located in the Business and Education building.
College
of Business
The LSUS College of Business prepares students to become an integral
part of local, sate, and national businesses. The students are
prepared to advance themselves in the business community by accomplishing
their personal goals, and the goals of their business. The College
of Business internship program gives students practical experience
in the work place while possibly opening future opportunities.
The College of Business houses the Dean's office, faculty offices,
classroom space, and computer labs for Business students, as well
as community resources such as the Small Business Development
Center and the Business Mentor program. The College of Business
Administration provides relevant, academically challenging opportunities
for business students to gain exposure to and understanding of
business concepts. Our students develop awareness of ethics, social
responsibility and leadership issues.
College
of Education
The College of Education consistently produces top educators for
the state of Louisiana. The LSUS College of Education boasts a
97% success rate on the PRAXIS, the state teachers certification
exam. LSUS takes a university-wide approach to teacher education.
Every curriculum for the preparation of teachers is the result
of cooperative efforts by all of the academic departments involved.
This gives you the training necessary to confidently present and
teach the subject matter of your choice. The College of Education
is also home to our growing Psychology department. You will also
find student computer labs and computer aided teaching lab space
for the use of Education majors.
