LSUS Greek Life

Greek Life at Louisiana State University in Shreveport offers many opportunities for leadership, scholarship, philanthropy and social activities. Each chapter depends on individuals with outstanding talent and creativity to coordinate self governing aspects
of the organization.

Greek organizations were founded upon academic excellence, and the sororities and fraternities on campus are no exception. LSUS expects excellence and sororities and fraternities reflect that high level of achievement.

At LSUS Greeks realize that the most essential reason for attending the university is to learn and excel academically. However, as many students will agree, campus life should extend beyond the realm of the classroom and include a balance between academic and social life.

One of the benefits of being involved in a Greek organization is the community service and philanthropic activities organized by the individual chapter. Working together on such projects fosters personal growth and greater unity among Greek members.
