Registration Begins for Freshman
 
Non-Resident Tuition Exemptions Available
Non-Louisiana resident students may be eligible for a limited number of non-resident tuition exemptions. These exemptions will be awarded by the Admissions and Records Office on a first-come, first-served basis. A student must be a US citizen to qualify for a non-resident tuition exemption. Students should contact the Admissions and Records Office at (318) 797-5061 to apply for a non-resident tuition exemption.
 
Board of Regents presents LSUS professorship matches
The Louisiana Board of Regents presented checks representing matching funds for two LSUS endowed professorships in joint ceremonies today on the campus of Southern University – Shreveport.
 
LSUS Foundation establishes ‘Endowed Pilot Scholarships’
The LSUS Foundation Board of Directors has earmarked $80,000 to establish eight new “Endowed Pilot Scholarships” in honor of the recipients of the annual LSUS Pilot(s) of the Year award. The scholarships are being established with initial $10,000 endowments from Foundation Unrestricted Funds. Click here for more details.
 
Pattens honored as LSUS Pilots of the Year
The Rev. J. Frederick and Sybil T. Patten were honored Wednesday night (Sept. 6) as the 2006 LSUS Pilots of the Year at the university’s annual black tie gala, RiverBend Revue. Click here for more details.

The LSUS Office of Graduate Studies has enhanced its Web site to better serve current and prospective graduate students. The Office of Graduate Studies administers all graduate degree programs offered by the university’s academic colleges. Click here for more information.

Four LSUS Baseball Players Receive All-Louisiana Honors
Shreveport, La. - Four LSUS players were named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana college baseball team Saturday with Andrew Brouillette picking up first team honors as a catcher, Brent Lavallee earning second-team honors as a utility player and pitchers Justin Ennis and John James leading the way on the second-team's pitching staff.
 
Brouillette Named First-Team All-American, Lavallee and Ennis Earn Honorable Mention Honors
SHREVEPORT, La. – LSUS sophomore catcher Andrew Brouillette was named a 2009 NAIA Baseball First-Team All-American on Thursday, as selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Selection Committee.
