nnual book fair in the spring; annual business meetings to elect officers at the end of each academic year; English Dept. faculty presentations on literary genres, authors, research tips, graduate school tips, and available career options with an English degree; Fall Fest; poetry reading; socials; student and faculty colloquia. The English Club offers its members valuable opportunities including a more personal relationship with faculty, the necessary information to attend national conferences and to join national organizations like the M.L.A. (at student rates), guidance for graduate school programs, and available scholarships in both the fall and spring semesters. Members who volunteer to be on the Refreshment Committee bring munchies and beverages to each meeting. |
