Public Health Organization at LSUS

PURPOSE: The purpose of PHA LSUS is:

  • To serve as a forum for public health education within the organization and external to the organization through community outreach
  • Promote the growth of public health oriented efforts both within and external to the organization
  • Provide members with diverse opportunities for public health oriented volunteer work
  • Provide experiences which promote the growth of its members as public health practitioners 
  • Serve both the LSUS and LSUHSC-S campuses and the community through leadership in public health

MEETINGS:
Meeting Time: Sundays at 5 p.m.
Meeting Place: Web  Conference

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:  Currently enrolled students in the Master of Public Health program 

NEW MEMBERS: Yes

DUES: $40 a year - local dues and $61 dollars a year - national dues
