This page is designed to let the students of LSUS know the various ways to get involved in SGA related activities on campus. We will be posting items such as committee openings and election dates.

SGA Weekly Meetings

During the Fall and Spring semesters Student Government Association meetings are held every Thursday at 10:30AM in the University Center. These meetings are open to the public. The SGA also meets during the summer, the dates, times, and location of these meetings can be found in the "Calendar of Events" of this website.

Senate Vacancies

The SGA often has senate vacancies in which any eligible student may acquire that position. For information on current and future vacancies contact the SGA office at (318) 797-5342 or e-mail us at sga@lsus.edu.

Elections

Each spring semester the senate holds elections. Open positions include: Executive positions: President, Vice-President, and Secretary Legislative positions: College Senators (2 from each college, 8 total) & Senator-at-Large (16 total). After elections are over any remaining vacant positions are open to any eligible student. Refer to "Senate Vacancies" for more information.
