Dr. Zippi received her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN prior to holding two post-doctoral positions at the University of California’s Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. Her post-doc appointments and research at LSUS have been in the area of Radiochemistry (tritium labelling and Positron Emission Tomography). She has authored 23 publications (19 since her arrival at LSUS in 1994). Her teaching interests include nuclear magnetic resonance theory and application (NMR), reaction mechanisms, and relating examples of practical scientific applications of chemistry in the literature to course material.
