Welcome to the Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS) website for the reaffirmation of accreditation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

The information contained in this site is the culmination of a sustained effort over many years. In spring 1998, a SACS Compliance Committee was empanelled to review LSUS compliance with the SACS Criteria and to recommend any areas that needed improvement. The committee found many areas of satisfactory performance but did recommend improvement in several areas. In spring 2002, after the Commission adopted the Principles of Accreditation, the SACS Compliance Committee was reconvened to review the campus in light of the new Principles. The committee found compliance in most areas of previous concern, but there was still need for improvement. Sustained effort over the past two years has produced continued progress, and LSUS presents its justifications for reaffirmation with material contained on this site.
