The academic courses at LSUS are offered in departments organized into four colleges.

The College of Business Administration includes the Departments of Accounting and Business Law, Economics and Finance, and Management and Marketing.

The College of Education and Human Development includes the Departments of Education, Kinesiology and Health Science, Psychology, and Military Science.

The College of Liberal Arts includes the Departments of Communications; English; Fine Arts, Foreign Language and Humanities; and History and Social Sciences.

The College of Sciences includes the Department of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Physics, Computer Sciences, and Mathematics.
