Faculty and Staff Resources for Student Assistance

College is an exciting time of growth for most students, but it can also be filled with challenges as students negotiate separation from their families, refine decision making skills, develop new relationships, and manage academic stress. Most students learn to handle these challenges on their own or actively seek out assistance when needed. However, some students feel overwhelmed and struggle, but do not recognize their need for assistance. Faculty and staff may witness or share in these struggles with their students; they have a crucial role in providing information/support or referring them to appropriate sources for help.

These pages are designed to assist faculty and staff in communicating with students, making decisions about referrals for supportive services, identifying campus and community resources, and providing accommodations to the learning environment.
