Faculty and Staff
Student Development and Career Services are dedicated to supplementing the academic preparation you provide in the classroom by fostering students' development outside the classroom. As your students seek your help in career related areas and as you integrate career development elements into your syllabi, we encourage you to contact us to explore the services that can support your efforts.
Student Development also offers other resources and programs to you as faculty members such as a class speaker or filling in on a day of your absence. Our office will give a presentation, the length of your request, on a certain career-related topic or a general presentation on our office or the job search. All you need to do is send an email to email@example.com at least two weeks in advance to schedule a class presentation.
Career Pilot, our online job tool, houses many resources students can use throughout their career development such as a resume checklist and examples, cover letter instructions and examples, reference tips, interview skills and more! Please take the time to become familiar with the site so you can encourage your students to use it. If you would like to register, please contact SaraMargaret Mladenka at firstname.lastname@example.org for a user name and password.
Learn about the rules and regulations for your participation in a student's job search by reading the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Faculty Guide.
Please encourage your students to utilize the Student Development office and our resources through their time at LSUS – Preparing for a student’s career starts today!
