"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams,
live the life you imagined."
~Henry David Thoreau
Life difficulties can divert students from their educational goals. Whether the student is experiencing emotional difficulty, problems at home, relationship conflicts, academic stress, or personal growth needs, the Student Development and Counseling Center provides a variety of supportive services designed to assist students through these difficulties and persist toward their academic goals.
The Student Development & Counseling Center provides comprehensive counseling and referral services, peer mentoring for first-time freshmen, coordination of services for students with disabilities, and campus outreach programming.
Mission: To assist students in achieving their educational goals; developing and utilizing problem solving skills; enhancing their capacity for personal growth and developing satisfying interpersonal relationships; and reaching their full potential for continued growth beyond the educational setting.
