Registration

Every LSUS student may use myLSUS to register for classes regardless of when he or she registers.  For detailed information regarding registration, please view the Enrollment Guide HERE.

How to register for classes.

  • Click "myLSUS Login"
  • Enter your Student ID and PIN. Click "Logon."
  • Click on the "Add/Drop Classes" icon under Quick Links
  • Choose the appropriate term, then click "Select Term"
  • Enter the Course Reference Numbers or use the search option to view the class schedule.
  • Click "Save to Cart" when complete.

OR

    • Click "myLSUS Login"
    • Enter your Student ID and PIN. Click "Logon."
    • Under "Registration" on the navigation bar, click "Add/Drop."
    • Choose the appropriate term, then click "Select Term"
    • Enter the Course Reference Numbers or use the search option to view the class schedule.
    • Select desired class (es).
    • Click "Save to Cart" when complete.
      Students register at assigned times according to their classification, which is based on the number of hours completed. 
      • Freshman: 29 or fewer semester hours earned
      • Sophomore: 30-59 semester hours earned
      • Junior: 60-89 semester hours earned
      • Senior: 90 or more semester hours earned

      Every student must participate in Academic Planning and Advising and meet with an academic advisor prior to registration. To determine your academic advisor, please contact your academic department.

      Students should ensure that pre-requisite courses have been completed prior to registration. Co-requisite courses, most often found in foreign language and science courses, should also be checked.

      Audit and special permission courses require approval of the chair of the department in which the course is offered and/or the approval of the appropriate dean.

      Students who plan to attend another college or university while registered at LSUS must have prior written approval from their dean.

      Currently enrolled and re-entry students may register using myLSUS.

      A financial aid recipient who wants to drop below the minimum credit hours required to receive their financial aid should contact the Financial Aid Office, AD 202, by phone at 318-797-5363, or via e-mail, finaid@lsus.edu, prior to dropping the course.

      A student attempting to drop his or her last class must resign from the university. Students may resign by dropping all classes on the web and completing the web resignation survey.
