Recreational Facilities

Health and Physical Education Building
The Health and Physical Education Building contains an indoor pool, track, exercise and weight room, dance studio, handball/racquetball courts, kickboxing studio, and a gymnasium.  The HPE Building is also home to the USA High Performance and Weightlifting Development Center.  All facilities are available for students' and university employees' use.  Outside users may also use the facility via HPE Fitness Membership.  For more information on The HPE Fitness Membership, individuals may contact the HPE Building Manager at 318-798-4145.  The current semester's schedule can be found posted in the Health and Physical Education Building or online by clicking here.  The Department of Kinesiology and Health Science does provide body composition via hydrostatic weighing or BODPOD at NO cost to students.  For all others body composition costs $50.00. Schedules are subject to change based on scheduled special events.  Special event requests can be made by filling out the proper form located online at the link above.

Sports Fields
In addition, the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science coordinates the use of 17 acres of sports fields.  Organized events need prior approval from the HPE Building Manager who can be contacted at 318-798-4145.  The appropriate form can be found online through the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences website.

University Center
The University Center offers passive recreation in the Game Room located on the first floor, UC 115.  The game room has the following activities: billiards, table tennis, foosball and air hockey.  Information regarding specific recreation programs can be found here
