Career Services

Career Services is the bridge that connects students and alumni with employers. Through its programming and services, it equips students to navigate career decisions over the course of their working life, helps them to effectively and confidently search for and secure experiential opportunities, and nurtures in them the ability to translate their classroom knowledge into real-world success.

Before graduating, Career Services hopes to help students and graduates do three things: feel confident about making thoughtful choices about their major and career path; how to go about uncovering internship and job leads in the field they hope to enter; and how to present themselves to employers and/or graduate school admissions representatives effectively, both through their written materials and when speaking to them.

Examples of services offered through the department include (but are not limited to) career fairs, workshops, one-on-one resume critiques, guidance about choosing a new major, resources about researching and deciding among career paths, and online tools accessible around-the-clock relating to interviewing and internship/job searching.
