Student Handbook

Message From the Chancellor

Dear LSUS Student,

On behalf of all the faculty and staff, welcome to LSUS and to the 2013-14 academic year!

Dr. Paul Sisson

It is important for you to know that all of us, faculty and staff alike, are dedicated to your success in college and beyond. LSUS offers unique advantages in education from your very first day on campus - we are small enough to give you personal attention, but large enough to provide opportunities ranging from hands-on experience with the latest laboratory equipment, association with professionals in your chosen career, and participation in recreational sports and student organizations. Further, our affordability and value can't be beat - at a time when the high cost of some university degrees is frequently called into question, you can be assured that your investment in an LSUS degree is wise and prudent.

You can also be assured that an LSUS degree prepares you for more than just your first day on the job or a later degree program. LSUS graduates are ready for life. This means that when you graduate from LSUS you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to be valued employees and members of society, but also the ability to continually renew and reinvent yourself as the world changes.

Please take the time to become familiar with this 2013-14 Student Handbook, and always know that you can call upon any of us for help and guidance.

Sincerely,

Paul Sisson
Interim Chancellor
