Microforms & Media
Microforms & Media is located on the second floor of the Noel Memorial Library. It houses the library's collection of audio-visual material and microfilm/microfiche, as well as equipment to view these items. The library maintains subscriptions to several local and state newspapers which are also housed in this office. A classroom with an overhead projector is available for instructional sessions. Faculty may reserve the classroom for film viewing or classroom instruction.
Patrons may sign in to use equipment in Microforms and Media until 30 minutes before closing.

Microforms and Media Policies
Microfilm / Microfiche
Two Dell Optiplex computers with ScanPro 3000 microform scanners are available to view film/fiche with. Users have the option to print, email, or save scanned images to a flash drive. Three manually operated microfilm readers are also available.
Audio-visual items may be used within the department. Equipment for viewing or listening to audio-visual materials is available. Audio-visual materials may be checked out by LSUS faculty only. The loan period for audio-visual materials is 14 days.
An instructional classroom is available with a computer with blu-ray playing capability and a projecotr. At the request of faculty, a reference librarians are available to provide customized training sessions on specific research topics. Visit the Research Services page for information on scheduling a session.
The instructional classroom may also be reserved by faculty who wish to show a video to a large group.
