Service Learning/Internship Opportunities
Service Learning allows students to participate in meaningful, real-life learning experiences that can be applied to classroom lectures while providing the community with needed service. Many LSUS courses require students to participate in some form of service learning. In addition, many LSUS programs, such as the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, and student organizations, such as fraternities, require students to participate in some form of internship or community outreach. The Institute supports these requirements by assisting students with placement with nonprofit organizations. A list of nonprofit organizations seeking interns and volunteers can be found in the Service Learning/Internship database.
