Annual Pilots Golf Classic
The 2016 LSUS Alumni Capital One Pilots Golf Classic took place April 4 at East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport.
We appreciate the faithfulness of our core sponsors and invite other businesses to sign for the 2017 Tournament (date TBA).
In 2016, Alumni Board members, and LSUS staff, faculty and student volunteers hosted 26 teams at East Ridge Country Club for a Noon "shotgun start."
To date the Pilots Classic has raised almost $270,000 for scholarships, programs, projects and services that benefit LSUS. To sponsor a team or to volunteer, please contact the Alumni Office at 318-797-5190 or click on "Golf Tournament."
The RiverBend Mystery Dinner Theater event is the LSUS Foundation's black-tie-optional gala which celebrates and benefits LSUS. This year's event was celebrated Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Horseshoe Riverdome. The Alumni Association traditionally hosts a Silent Auction. The auction team has raised $83,000 since 2008. For more information, call the Alumni Office at 318-797-5190.
Annual Meeting Party
The Alumni Association holds one "general membership" meeting per year, the Annual Meeting, usually in May or June.
The 2016 event, "Looking Toward our 50th Anniversary," was held June 2 in the LSUS University Center Ballroom.
The Distinguished Alumni Award winner and Circle of Excellence Award winners are recognized. Retiring Alumni Board Directors also receive their service awards. During the brief business meeting, we welcome Officers and Directors, listen to remarks from LSUS students or recent graduates, and enjoy dinner and door prizes. The evening offers an excellent opportunity for fellowship and networking. Dues-paying Association members receive invitations and other alumni are welcome for a per-person fee. For more information, call 318-797-5190 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Alumni Association hosts a reception for graduates, faculty and alumni before the Fall and Spring Commencement Services. Alumni Board Directors and other alumni serve as volunteers.
The Association Board of Directors meets at least three times during the year in addition to the Annual Meeting. Directors also serve on committees which meet separately to support and manage various events and projects for the University.
