Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs Web Page and thank you for taking the time to learn about the academic programs and services at Louisiana State University Shreveport. Reporting to the Chancellor, the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs has the responsibility for the operation and continuous improvement of all academic programs of the University. The Office of Academic Affairs provides services in the following areas:

Serves as Chief Academic Officer at LSU Shreveport and, in that capacity, supervises the five Schools (Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Sciences, Business, Education, and Human Sciences), the Library, and the Division of Continuing Education;

Serves directly with the Deans of the University in the areas of faculty recruiting, retention, and development;

Serves to oversee program development; 

Serves alongside other senior administrators in advancing the priorities of all parts of the university; and

Serves as the supervisor for academic student support services, Offices of Institutional Effectiveness, Academic Services, and Multicultural Affairs.
