Membership Information
Membership in the Society is open to anyone 10 years old or more. Members 16 years old or more may vote and
hold office, but all may participate in our activities.
Ownership of a telescope is NOT a requirement for membership. Those members without a telescope are encouraged
to learn to use the telescopes owned by the Society. Many of our members have made their own telescopes. Others
own a wide variety of commercially made telescopes.
An application to join the Society may be downloaded, obtained from the Society at
one of the monthly meetings, or requested from the address below. Individual dues are $17.00 per year. Family

Benefits of Membership
Society members receive the monthly newsletter The Observer, have access to Society observation sites, and may purchase books, sky maps, and other materials and subscribe to many astronomical magazines at a substantial discount.
