LSUS Jazz Band, Choral to perform at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5 The “LSUS Jazz,” Louisiana State University in Shreveport’s jazz band, will present its fall semester concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the LSUS University Center Theater. The concert, which will also feature the debut of the LSUS University Choral, is free and open to the public. The student musicians will perform a variety of jazz compositions, and feature several seasonal selections including several Christmas carols in a Dixieland band style. The University Choral, making its debut performance, will perform with the jazz band on several numbers. The Choral is directed by Ken Fryer, and the LSUS Jazz director is Allen Swilley.
