Teach LSUS spring 2007 application deadline is Oct. 9

With Special Education teachers and Math teachers remain in high demand, there is still a great need more dedicated and driven teachers! The spring 2007 application deadline for TeachLSUS is Monday, Oct. 9.

TeachLSUS is an initiative of Louisiana State University in Shreveport to recruit, select and train outstanding educators for the community’s classrooms. TeachLSUS is dedicated to preparing knowledgeable, skilled and professional teachers. As a participant in the TeachLSUS program, students can work as full-time, salaried teachers while earning a Louisiana teaching certificate. No previous education coursework or experience is required.

TeachLSUS prepares candidates who currently hold a bachelor’s degree and a minimum overall 2.5 undergraduate degree for careers as professional educators. TeachLSUS offers certification in mild/moderate special education, elementary education and secondary education.
